Marceline goes to confront the Vampire King and has a conversation with him. In the process she stakes The Fool and absorbs his flight ability, the Vampire King warns her of the empress heading for the ice kingdom where the ice king resides. Marceline chases after her because of the potential danger ice king could be in, leaving the vampire king be for now.
She refuses the other threes help before going off to fight The Empress, she nearly fails but after Finn and Bubblegum show up she reluctantly accepts their help for the rest of the journey, and successfully stakes The Empress and absorbs her invisibility ability.
They all gather weapons and plans at the butterscotch lake cabin where bonnie lives. Peppermint butler gives them all more information on The Court that marcie didn’t have because of her “stake now talk later” philosophy.
